Leigh’s Garden Winery – Guided Tour of the Cellars + Wine Tasting – 1 hour – Free

The Winery features wine made from cold-climate grapes and a variety of northern grown fruit. The tasting room is situated in historic downtown Escanaba and features an old refurbished bar, an art deco back bar, plus walls and ceilings covered in intricately designed tin dating back to 1895.

Sand Point Lighthouse & Delta County Museu m – Guided Tour – 1 hour – $3 per adult, $1per child

Sand Point Lighthouse was built in 1867 for $11,000 to warn ships of the sand reef that reaches into the Bay. The Museum, located by the Sand Point Lighthouse, opened in 1956 in the location of a former radio station and is filled with artifacts and heirlooms of Delta County depicting logging, shipping, railroads, military, history, surveying, sports, history, fishing, and Native American culture.                                                                                                          ‘

Agricultural Museum – Guided Tour – 40 minutes + extra time on your own – Free – Donation Recommended

The Museum is owned and operated by the UP Steam and Gas Engine Association, a non-profit corporation dedicated to the preservation, restoration and exhibition of early steam engines, gasoline engines, tractors, farm machinery and other items of historical value.

PICTURED ROCKS BOAT CRUISE AND WATERFALL TOUR
Tour Date: Monday, July 24th
Departs 8:00 am – Returns 5:00 pm

This tour takes you to Munising Bay on the south shore of Lake Superior where you will get the chance to see the world famous Pictured Rocks – our country’s first National Lakeshore and the place setting for Longfellow’s epic poem, The Song of Hiawatha. The featured attraction on this tour is a delightful 2 ½ hour Pictured Rocks Boat Cruise along the south shore of the greatest freshwater lake in the world where you will see over 15 miles of stunning 100 to 200’ cliffs, beautiful white sand beaches and rock formations such as Miner’s Castle, Lover’s Leap, Chapel Rock and Rainbow Cave. During your tour you will also be treated to a luncheon buffet in downtown Munising, see Grand Island and visit Munising Falls which is one of the prettiest waterfalls in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

HISTORIC CITY OF MARQUETTE SIGHTSEEING TOUR
Tour Date: Tuesday, July 25th
Departs 8:00 am – Returns 5:00 pm

This tour features some of the finest attractions this 165 year old harbor town has to offer including the Marquette Lighthouse which is one of the oldest lighthouses on the south shore of Lake Superior and the Marquette Maritime Museum which showcases one of the finest collections of Fresnal lens in the world. During your tour you will learn about the city’s rich history and see many of its old Victorian homes and magnificent red sandstone buildings. You will also see the massive iron ore docks that grace the city’s two deep water harbors and visit Presque Isle Park considered by many to be the finest “natural” city park in the world. Your lunch which is included in the tour will be in downtown Marquette where time permitting you’ll get the chance to do a little shopping and sightseeing on your own.

HISTORIC FAYETTE AND THE BIG SPRINGS OF MICHIGAN TOUR
Tour Date: Saturday, July 29th
Departs 8:00 am – Returns 5:00 pm

This tour features two of the finest attractions in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and includes a gourmet box lunch from the Upper Crust Deli in Manistique. During your tour you will take a hand-powered raft across the mystical Big Springs of Michigan in the Palms Book State Park near Indian Lake and tour historic Fayette, a restored 19th century iron smelting village on the beautiful Garden Peninsula. Along the way you will be treated to views of two of the largest bays on Lake Michigan and see the Hiawatha National Forest which is one of the largest national forests east of the Mississippi River. Your last stop will be on the waterfront in downtown Escanaba where you’ll get the chance to tour the Sand Point Lighthouse and visit the Delta County Historical Museum.

Reservations in advance are required for all tours with payment in full by check or money order to hold your reservations.

All tours will depart from and return to the Ruth G. Butler Building at the Escanaba State Fairgrounds.

All tours include deluxe motor coach transportation, professional tour guide services, admission to all listed attractions, lunch, soft drinks and water and all taxes and gratuities.
